It definitely has to be a family movie, my wife and I both grew up watching the transformers, and our daughter watches them now. I would not enjoy the movie alone nearly as much as I will enjoy it with my family.
Is this movie something that your whole family will want to see, so it will be a family movie night, or is it just your kids, your spouse/partner or just yourself that is anticipating this movie?

What movie? I was raised on horror flicks, so what I'd consider family fun and what you'd consider family fun are two different things.

I'm going to see this film with a bunch of die hard TF fans. If I had a family I would take them because the Transformers are a part of my childhood and I think it's a good idea to show kids things we watched when we were their age.
I am still waiting for a rating to decide one way or the other. If it's G then sure. PG or up it becomes really debatable but I have small children. Ratings exist for a reason after all.
After the nightmare that was Transformers the Movie back in the 80's (it was the animated one where they killed of EVERYONE) I'm not sure I'm up for this one.
The sad thing is, I remember most of my childhood shows very well but I just can't remember many specifics about Transformers. BraveStarr? Yep. Heman? Got that too. Robotech? Got the whole series! But Transformers...I really don't remember much of. I'm gonna be a heretic and say I remember more about Go-Bots then Transformers. But yes, I did watch Transformers back in the day so I do have a mild interest in the movie. I'll wait to see the ratings/reviews of it before committing my money to see it.
