i just feel that if it was as you say, it wold get way too stupid, and turn into some kind of demon show. "oh, me must defeat the evil demon" god might was well throw in some jewel shards while you are at it.

i just really dont see this happening in the show. i congradulate you for thinking outside the box, but its probably nothing that deep. the secret is probably something trivial like "learn all the jutsu and takeover konohakagure"

Akatsuki may be defeated eventually and then another threat may come.A threat that may have something to do with Kabuto.This is my guess.

this is a good theory as well. perhaps kabuto will create a small story arc of his own sometime after the current confrentation with itachi & sasuke. i dont know if akatsuki will get wiped out until the end of the series.

heres another good idea; naruto does become the hokage, and the remaining members (im thinking a at least 4 or 5 months down the road) ie possibly the leader and the unknown bue-haired one come to konoha with their statue (which i am assuming when filled with beasts will come alive and pwn everyone) and start fighting the village. lots of ppl die, and the village seems lost.then hokage naruto pulls out a fully-completed rasengan, far superior to anything seen previously. there he dies from the results, as the forth hokage did. i could see the series ending with a line like this Sakura: naruto, why?.... Kakashi: yes, just like his father did: the fourth Hokage

i'm assuming you guys have read the latest manga chapter right? There's been a twist in the case of Orochimaru, which can be a good thing. Forces converging together seems to be really getting high right now. My theory as to how it would end is that Shark boy face-off with kakashi, Sai attempts duel with the original curse seal holder, Sakura fights with that girl as well. And of course Naruto faces-off with Sasuke. Before that, we'll see Sasuke catch up with Itachi and taking him out because Itachi's sight have gotten quite bad, hence though he is one of the most dangerous missing nins. His shape is worse than Sasuke's, thus Sasuke would have the upperhand. Now, that would perhaps trigger the collapse of the Akatsuki with Naruto facing off with two more members attempting to capture him. We would see the leader before I think, perhaps a face off between him and Orochimaru.

no, i stand by my hopes and dreams that ochi is still dead. (check out the thread "orochimaru")
actually that could happen too, perhaps naruto will fight a wounded sasuke, and spare him as sasuke, deep inside, is still naruto's friend.

well seeing the latest chapter im hoping that kabuto/ochi helps naruto, or teams up with him, that'd be the shit. on the other hand sasuke is now fighting tobi and deidara, but he wont be defeated so easily by weaker akatsuki. Sasuke wont be finished until the itachi dies

Yes its obivious that Sasuke wont be out of the picture untill Itachi is dead, but im sure there will be a wicked twist in the series soon, i mean like there are still characters that still need to be revealed
