Yeah, I believe Obito's dead and gone. I doubt Kishimoto would bring him back to life, because as you said, recycling characters is illogical and silly.

If you're keeping up with the manga (I'm not that up-to-date myself, but I've read far enough to ascertain some facts), and assuming that my memory's not faulty, it's revealed that Tobi is in fact Uchiha Madara. He discards the Tobi persona after Deidara's death. I'm still a bit puzzled as to how he's managed to remain alive all this time, but according to Itachi before his death, Madara is immortal.

Is there anyone else keeping up with the manga? I haven't been on AO in months so I'll have to reacquaint myself with this place again.

I think that was made quite clear last year Splyker, no need to be digging up the old questions which have already been answered (with photographic evidence no less).

The truth is Tobi is really Uchiha Madara~ From the manga posted there~ (*RIGHT THERE~! RIGHT THERE~!*):annoy: First three from top to bottom of his name~ Similar to Itachi's right~? The other three is in katakana, saying MA-DA-RA~ (*mister thanks for posting that manga page~ :smile:*) And about you seeing, the other manga where Kakashi was saving Obito (*ACTUALLY THAT'S MADARA~*)~ That's not his actual body~ His been jumping from one body to the other~ He only died there so that he can get away from Konoha (*since they all thought he's already dead* :lurk:) and start his true plot~ (*NOT GONNA SAY IT NO HOW~ well it's not yet proven on my side so it's not sure what he really wants to do~ no worries I'll try and search for it~ you can help too~ :smile:*)

he reveals this when he helps sasuke plan the attack on the leaf for if u dont know the leaf r the ones who ordered to terminate the uchiha clan!!! so team snake becomes part of the akatsuki temporarily and they all have cloaks then they become team hawk and mission destroy leaf village

but wats the point of wearing the mask?:confused::confused::confused:

he doesnt want to ppl to know he is madara uchiha because that way he draws less attention
