What Really Happened to Obito Uchiha?

As we all know Obito Uchiha was one of Kakashi's teammates when the Fourth Hokage was their Jonin Squad Leader. Shortly before Obito died, he donated one of his eyes to Kakashi whose original eye was left missing.

The Sharingan Eye that Kakashi possesses is indeed Obito's eye, but since Kakashi doesn't have Uchiha blood inside him, the strain of using the Sharingan hurts him somewhat. Over the years Kakashi has used the Sharingan to his advantage and was given the title, "The Copy Ninja of 1,000 Jutsu". He also mastered using the Sharingan Eye as well...

So what really happened to Obito, did he really die or cheat his own death?

Some sources say that he undergone a new identity known as Tobi, a member of the Akatsuki Organization. If you look at Tobi he's wearing a mask with an eye hole referencing the eye that some people think is the eye that Obito gave to Kakashi shortly before he died.

If Obito really did cheat his own death and joined with Akatsuki over the years, why would he betray Konoha like that?

Does he have a grudge against Kakashi? What would it be?

Tobi has been revealed to be Madara Uchiha. If he turns out to be Tobi the writer has REALLY gone off his rocker into loony world.

Tobi = Obito.

Why?

DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW OLD UCHIHA MADARA IS?!?!

He would be by biological standards, Sasuke and Itachi's great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather. As well as the creator of Mangekyou sharingan. Honestly, no doubt Tobi is like Naruto. He is the legacy of something that came before him. For Naruto, he is Minato's legacy as he succeeded his rasengan by only 50% doing what the fourth in his life span couldn't. Tobi insist upon himself that he has the power of the first Mangekyou sharingan user Uchiha Madara...so I guess it's a delirium maybe? =/

I think that the possibility is greater that it is Obito... but as far as we know it could have been another Uchiha. I mean before Itachi went on his killing rage, the Uchiha were a big, and powerful clan.

I just really don't want Kakashi to end up having to fight Obito... that would be depressing.

I don't think obito would betray Konoha....i don't think he hold a grudge against kakashi since kakashi was like a brother to him like naruto see sasuke as his brother... Tobi got to be obito or madara uchiha..

Obito was killed by the falling rock-no-jutsu and Madara is Tobi...if you believe Obito has a grudge against Kanoha...what in the blue blaizes could it be?
