probably many of u know this already, the reason byakuya why he adopted rukia.
but for thoses who dont,here i go i warned u:byakuya was married to rukia's older real sister, by doing this he broke the rules by accepting her into the noble kuchiki family.
in her dying breath she asked to find and protect rukia and do not tell her of her real family.
a year later rukia was entering the shinigami academy, he respected his late wife's wish but,broke the rules of his family once again.
he later swore never to break the rules of his family again.
and u see where this is going

He only made that "I'll never break the rules again" decision AFTER he married Hisana if I recall correctly. Maybe even after she died.
