Here is a decent question for you. Why in NGE Do they not show the perspective of the Angels? Some of the best films in history show you what the antagonist is seeing. Jaws is a classic example of this. They had the shark cam is several places, and in Predator the movie device practically became legend. Yet in NGE we have several no idea of how angels see humans. Armisael is really the only angel we see interacting with people not counting Tabris. But we still don't know how angel sees humans. Why do you feel they did that.

I'm p. sure that Hideaki Anno wanted it keep it a mystery. It keeps people watching the series, thinking it will be explained at some point. My speculation is that if they are a superior species, they wouldn't need to "see" anything.

But they were explained in End of Evangelion.

The Last angel on the list is also known by another name: Man Kind, or Humans. The rest of the Angels are actually genetically 99.89% similar to humans, but just followed another evolutionary path.

Go watch End of Evangelion again, its explained what the angels are during the sequence where Misato is driving Shinji through the EVA graveyard.

She doesn't explain how or why though. There is alot of stuff on the internet that tries to shed light on all these subjects but non of its official. Even in many of the games it tries to explain but they only cary the name, its all written by other people.

There is one source but it is not in english. The red book is great official guide. It was made to be available for those attending the movie in Japan those many years ago. I have not found a site with translation of it but many have a summary. All are clear that there was an ancient race that set out to create life else where in the universe. Two different seeds were never meant to be on the same planet.


Of this most sources agree. But that just leads to even more questions. Of course it makes the eggs, white and black, like the magnetic obelisk from space odessey. Guess Rei is a star child than.

That is certainly the case but I was referring to the scene in the first episode where Rei appears on a street and then disappears suddenly and the bizarre sequence when they enter terminal dogma and she appears with a powerful AT field. She also does a similiar disappearing act at the End Of Evangelion. Kind of like the starchild in the Space Odessey movies.

Do you know when the rebuild of evangelion will be released in America for legal DVD purchase.
