Between Rei, Asuka, and Shinji who is has the worse life?

well i think its a ti between Rei and Shingi
Reasons for rei
1. shes a ginetic expariment for commander icarie
2. all she does is sit and nevers smiles amd on top of that shes an angel and the most powerfull angel at that.

Reasons for Shingi-
1. his father tracks him down only when he is "required"
2. his mother is both dead and is the machiene he pilots
3. and most of all he gets like no support from his team excepe Rei

i donno if you could say that Rei never smiling made her have the worst life. i mean, if its just something she never did, then how would she know it was bad to not do? im not very good at explaining it, but i hope someone sees my point.

i know what you mean .. she never smiled because it was never required ... and that's because she wasn't that type of acting on her own but always based on logic benefit since she didn't find any significant meaning/attribute of "smile" ...

Hard to say who has the worst life. After short thinking, i would to say Rei. She didn't know anything about herself. Moreover, she is absolutely antisocial person, so the society couldn't help her to find a better way/ sense etc what would you like to fill there.

AND THE WORST LIFE AWARD GOES TO!!! SHINJI! Not only was his mother killed in a horrible accident, his father abandoned him.and to make things worse, his father

Then his father decided that he needed shinji again, and forces shinji to pilot a gaint robot. NOT JUST ANY GAINT ROBOT!

I'll have to go with Shinji too. I mean, just look at him -- life hasn't been too kind to the kid, so you can't blame him for being emo. Asuka's simply overreacting, and Rei... I don't suppose Rei "has a life". Well, who knows.
