Hmmm... rei an angel?

i may be stupid and have not have caught this, but ive finally seen EOE, right? do you think rei may have been made from the DNA of Yui Ikari as well as Lillith? i mean this would let her merge with the main lillith in terminal dogma, and could explain why she resembles Kaowru so much. this makes some sense to me...

actually o just checked out wiki and it said that in the director's cut kowru says that he is the vessel for Adam's soul and she is that of lillith's. this makes sense as well.

Can I throw my 2 zen's worth in here? I would say it depends on the Rei's actions as to whether she was an Angel or not. Apart from the Kaworu episode and the EoE movie, she is human and acts as such.

Yes, I remember that scene quite vivadly. I had nightmares for a week because of that. However I still staick to my 'human' theory: it all depends on your actions, not on your genetics.

I'd classify her as Human, not just because she acts & looks human, but also because the way I see it, though she's mainly got human DNA, she also has Angel DNA mixed into her. This gives her the power to do those things she does (AT field used to pierce Kuwaru's, appearing then dissapearing when Shinji first turns up, etc). However, this also means she has to keep her self together, otherwise her ego barrier starts to fail, causing her arm to fall off & allowing Commander Ikari to put his hand in her.

However, when she merges with the Angel nailed to that cross, then she becomes full angel. Then the freeky stuff really kicks in...

Rei is definitely an angel if you take in consideration that she had a protecting field like any other angel(i don't remember what was the field exactly called) so yes she is an angel even if she lives and acts as a human and treated like one , she is an angel because acting like humans wont transform her into a real one ... that's what i think
