tthe idea about Evangelion is to watch it over and over again so you can understand the subtext. I watched the mythology of Evangelion and that is what it said to do.

I new the ending to me didn't seem confusing. I am a weird person and I kind of understood what was happening and how it linked. they things that talked about really got me thinking about what i had watched and you could see what they meant. For example: Shinji and Asuka are dating. But you won't know that when you first watch it, it probably won't be noticable till like the 3 or 4th time you have wathced it.

The idea of Evangelion is that you are recapping Shinji's memories, what you are seeing is memories of what happened in shinji's perspective.

hmmm...the ending's suppose to trail off so it'd stick to our minds, which it did. The Angelic Days manga is ok in my opinion but I'd like to see how the games turned out. They made a game of Shinji as the player and its really a sim game of his life before the eva came into his life (I think).

I didnt really like the ending much, but thats because i thought it ended up being a dream, which would almost make the entire series pointless. Is this the case or not? I also thought that there was alot of other things in the series that were left unsaid. Maybe it's because i smoke too much, but i still dont get wtf an angel is and what's up w/ adam and whatnot. I'll prolly just hafta watch it again, but i'm a little exhausted with the futuristic animes at this point. Oh, and seeing The End of Evangelion would prolly help too :-\

i did watch it over and over and over and nothing makes sense, well a little bit does. so is all of evangelion all in shingi's head or was it real? and did asuka and shingi go out cause in one of the movies there was something about it but i must have missed it.

Treaze - was that because you had watched the series and understood what was happening. Because after i watched the rest of the series because i watched the movie half way through i found it was easier to understand also.

I think the movie just looks further into how you percieve things in life and how people would do different things in the same situation. One of the movies was very jumpy and kepy going from Evangelion to real life footage. It did confuse me to why they did this but if i was to watch the movie again i am sure i would understand it more.


Noxious - yes is the answer to the series showing all of Shinjis memories about what happened. as well as Shinji and Asuka dating.

I really liked it. All except for the ending. I didn't like it. It was too.. I don't know. Boring. Kinda depressing, but then again the entire show was pretty depressing so, whatever.
