evangelion - ending sucked - Page 3

NGE was kinda crappy serie, cos most of the time we had to watch Shinji and
in later episodes also Asuka crying somewhere screaming that they want to be dead
and the whole world hates them and so on...
But fights were nice, that was the only thing that made it worth of watching, and
thank god "End of Evangelion" got some sence to ending...

i can see your point but i know it could have done with being less depressing but if you think about all the metaphors it uses throught out it kind of helps display a better picture.

I liked the ending. Though it was kind of sad in the end, it made it's point.

I think there talking about the film ending, the series was quite a bit more upbeat.
I cried at the end of the film. Evangelion's such a beautiful anime in itself, it's got the whole tragic beauty of humanity in there. It's one of those animes you need to watch to understand, like you said, although the way you understand it is going to be completely diffrent from the way someone else understood it. That's why the people who love it so much, do.

Thank God for Angelic Days... if it lives up to the hype. The series had so much potential but the ending killed the whole series. What a letdown. The movies were a joke... if the series ending made any sense at all there would have been no need for movies.
