Well the reason they made Megatron look like that was because he was on Earth when there was nothing to scan, so he was still something from Cybertron.

but anywho, I see the similarity,but their more like long lost cousins than twins. They may have gotten concepts from it,but they probably weren't trying to copy anything.

The Hammer head's has nothing to with tranformers it is merely luck that Megatron looks like the hammer head

The only thing that's remotely similar of the two is the wings. Spikes ship, The Swordfish is much longer and it's red. Megatron was like a metallic silver stingray. But I guess I understand why you thought they were somewhat similar.

Except that Transformers is an Anime (Although it was outsourced to be created by a Japanese Studio by Hasbro, an American Toy Company to promote their new line of toys). And since the two Live Action movies were based on the original Anime... your argument is rather null and void.
