Inuyasha does it continue on with movies

After watching what I thought was a crappy ending to Inuyasha it seems like it wasn't. Does Inuyasha continue through the movies or is that a whole diffrent story line?

No the movies don't really connect with the story line.

The 2nd one is kind of related but they didn't really kill naraku but he pretended to be dead and then just gose off to something else and the 1,3, and 4 are not related at all.

No the 4th one was about inuyasha's past and about the 4 war gods(or something) and someone locked these 4 Jewels. That's what I remember.
