Spike seems to be the anime form of Elvis. People just can't accept he's dead.

Almost all of my favorite characters die... I can't afford denial anymore ^^;

you just have a feeling it was Spike's star. besides, he had a purpose to live onj after vincent, but after he beat vicious, his goal was fufilled. see what im saying. plus julia died, so he was even more willing to go.
