I've heard rumors and read in places that Spike dies.
Is this true?

ok, well he fights vicious, and he shoots vicious and vicious stabs him with his sword. Spike walks down these long stairs where some guards are(who are all terrified by the way) and he holds up his finger like its a gun and says bang, asnd falls to the ground and lays on the stairs(he went out with a bang, lol)

after the ending credits, it shows his star dissapear from the sky(they earlier mentioned in the series that everyone has their own star, and when you die, the star dissapears)

jet and faye stay behind on the bebop.

what happens is spike goes on a suicide misson. he kills like 20 guys before he finally reaches vicious. When he gets stabbed by vicious, i believe he could have lived. The sad part was that he gave up on life.

Remeber that girl in all the flashbacks(damn, i forget her name) well she gets killed halfway throught the episode.

It's Julia.
And Spike's death gave Cowboy Bebop a beautiful ending.

thankyou, and yes, they had to end it that way. it wouldnt have been as good as an anime if i didnt end that way.

Bebop was over rated, it was a decent series but people give it too much credit. I wish it had been less episodic with more on going plot but oh well.

too bad spike died yet it really have to end like that...or else, the anime would be like some other animes which are good throughout but when we speak of the ending...it's really unfair (i don't want to name anime...haha)

so, julia is spike's ex right?
