I don't think in the western world you could get away with making a cartoon where the teacher is trying to make a move on a 14 year old kid. What sort of message does this get out to the younger generation I wonder??
But in Mahoromatic, we see Shikijou Saori, the teacher trying all very hard to take advantage of her student Suguru by way of her biggest asset - her breasts. Saori has a "shota complex", ie. a desire for young boys. See her pic below!

It depents, if you mean by western world the US i would agree, bud if you mean Europe or Canada then its a difrent story it would be a bigger probleme if shikijou-sensai was a man and Misato-san was a girl
I agree. We seem to think in the united states if we do not depict it it will not happen. Not talking about is a sure fire way to garuantee the problem will go away.Quote:
