I noticed Adult Swim is becoming more violent. Which I'm very happy about. I don't expect them to show Berserk or Hellsing anytime soon but I'm happy for now. I just noticed it awhile ago when whats her name got raped in Full Metal Alchemist. I was like "wtf did they just show that on cartoon network." I remember when fanboys got pissed that they edited the crap out of Gundam Wing. Anyway what do you guys think. Are you happy about it.
Some of it I could do without but most of the violence on Adult Swim is awesome. They're also more open to other more restricted areas of shows now to. Like that one episode on Samurai Champloo. But maybe some of it should be edited since some kids (regardless of what their parnets say) watch it and get nightmares. But as for me, bring on more of the violent acts!
I was suprised that they aired the first few eps of "Paranoia Agent" unedited. But it is called 'Adult' Swim, and gets ratings and advertising independent of the rest of CN, so I see no reason why we should be derived of one of our few (only, for some) sources to see mature themed anime other than buying or downloading.
I'll admit I was surprised when they aired those episodes. Heck I was glad. I'm a frequent downloader (and full time buyer) but its nice to be able to sit in my bed at night and watch good anime, without them leaving stuff out.
I think NGE proves that they are getting more violent with their anime, they didn't even edit that show that much. I think it's good though, adult swim is for older people so they should not be showing anime for younger people to just avoid violent stuff.

in the wrong anyway kids have no buisness being up at 11pm+
so there is nothing wrong with showing more graphic material )

Well it is independant of the CN right? And I'm pretty much happy that the AS shows some "entertaining shows" rather than the "Josey and the pussy cats" :lurk:
