It depends, maybe you think this becasuse you see more perverted anime then non perveted anime.

as ketaro said, there are many different genre of anime.

Some anime is way too perverted IMO.

First, you've got hentai, which I feel is just like pornography, and has the same immorality.

A step further is Yaoi Hentai. Now this is just sickening.

But worst of all, you have shotacon. I think that shotocon is quite an evil practice. I cannot believe that there even is such such a thing. I believe it would cause much child abuse if it was widely distributed.

That's what hentai is for. Nobody watches them for the story,

Also, I could care less if a few shows are adding more fanservice. It just shows how certain animes are for a mature audience only. Elfen Lied=not meant for kids obviously. Jeez, a lot of us are older than 17 right, a little fanservice isn't going to kill ya,

. And with the exception of a few shows, it's not like the fanservice is overpowering the story (I said with exception cause it can be a little too much sometimes).

as a hole i must agree with you. but in many titles i believe that its not necessary and just too much as well as hurt the story. for instance in Elfen Lied i could see it not being for kids but it didnt need to have all that child porn in it (Mayu). Anuthere example is many magic girl series like Prity Sammy and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. In both of them they use nude scenes to show costume changes. The only difference is that in the first they have a color effect that covers most sexual details while the second dosnt making it so you see most everything and about seven years between when they where made.

Pervertion i will admit is one of important parts of anime, by adding sexual content to a series you can see what is Anime and what is a mere cartoon.
I am a mature adult (22) so i do like to see a bit of Fanservice from time to time and if i am watching Hentai then i am demanding alot of it cos that is why i am watching it but i try to make sure i watch anime that makes sure the girls are actually a reasonable age but sadly some scenes of controversial (although i do use the word sadly loosely in my case cos i love controversial stuff) do actually make it onto the series/movie and i just pray to the god of anime that my country doesnt believe anime is a source of evil and ban it for good

Yup! If you're watching those all the time then you'll think anime is becoming perverted. . . BUT there's always another factor, that is, the level of "fanservice" you think is to be considered perverted . . . now THAT differs to every people. . .

Maybe i do and i won't deny it but as i said in a way Preversion is a key element of defining Anime from cartoons
