and here enters the effect of Eye-style ,it determines highly what kind of character it is ,and also colors used for hair in most cases have a lot of meanings not only one ,i agree with both of you and adding violet color as the same aspect as silver (eyes or hair) ...
Mmm, now you mention, never think on that. I don't know, i remeber in The Simpson someone (Bart or Homer, don't remember well): "This is a cartoon, everything is posible". The hair color, eyes, proportions (some girls like Tenjou Tenge are really hard to see in real life) are natural things of the anime series. Some anime are more reallistic but have some details too.
But, answering your question, i prefer those details like are. Weird hairstyles and other things make anime what is.
well i say unrealistic cuz thats one of the reasons i watch anime cuz its not the norm cuz that gets boring after a while
I prefer anime character's hair colours based on real life colours rather then imaginary ones.
I like most animes the way characters look don't matter as much to me but i do like it better when the hair colours are based on real ones because it makes it more realistic.... i dono it makes me think about how people in the real world can look like alot of characters on animes ... i know it's quite strange but it makes me happy when i see a look alike ..to a character in one of my favourite anime shows
well for me i would prefer the unrealistic,coz the unrealistic i think is very attractive to anime fans,and it is very passonate.but if the anime is kinda for romance,love story,realistic ones would best fit them i think..^_^

Hmm... I would preffer the non-realistic one as well, since it does make it indeed really more anime then using realistic. In most cases using realistic colors would just lessen the attractiveness of an anime being viewed by tons of public viewers. Non-Realistic choice is the number one to be guranteed into having more creativity into selecting different varieties of combinations into making more characters that are really awesome. :D:
it is very nice to see realistic color of hair or eyes in anime but to see something unusual in the anime like the boy have a violet hair or eyes (i know you like this color:D:) or the girl have red eyes that is something very cool ... to see something unusual make you love that something more than anything and this is the same for movies .... =^_^=
