I like it if the hair color and style is a bit unrealistic this i think is what makes them more attractive and more challenging to the artist

I, myself, prefer the unrealistic look better. One of the reasons I started watching anime was because the characters looked cool. and two of my favorite characters were Max and Miria from Robotech.

I don't mind seeing vibrant hair colors and realistic ones, but i wouldn't look for something realistic on shows that aren't realistic at all. There are a few anime that follows a realistic path but still i don't mind the hair. Come to think of it, those hairstyles you see on anime is a growing trend in asian pop culture so we could also say that so far those hairstyles are making their way into reality.

Back in anime's early days, the hair designs kinda followed(loosely) realistic hair colors and hairstyles but it became much more distorted over the years...Change blew its winds on anime and today we end up having characters with oddly beautiful hairstyles.

In fact, hair has become one of the staples of design and identity that makes anime identified as anime.

I like realistic colours but if it look good on that character im fine with that colour for that character but it is good sometime to see odd colour for animes

I like what fits with the show, if its realistic then I want real if its fantasy then fun hair is the way to go. Also all things in moderation. I think part of the appeal of anime though is the thought of being able to change the norm. Like in Japan there is so many with dark hair it is fun to imagine what ifs.

Well the is a no brainer for me my opoion is clearly none-realistic because hay not only does it make the anime people appeal more to me but i see anought peoples realistic hair and the colors they come up with and thats not something i whant to see in anime all that much @_@

i prefer normal hair colors, but my main preference is normal hair styles!
i mean come on! make it easy for cosplayers! lol, but in all seriousness sometimes i watch an anime and i look at the ridiculous hair and think to myself "wouldnt that get in the way sometimes?"

like goku's hair. would that get messed up when he goes through a door or somthing?

never really cared but its more intesting when your watching an anime and the boy has pink hair >.<... Well its sometimes just funny and well.... funny.... (green eyes, pink hair, and he is a boy ^^)
