Oh my yeah the anime the almost made me cry, manly cry >w>;, nah a cry is a cry xD but yeah it was Elfin Lied when they were holding Lucy and beat the dog to death. I was just like ;w; are chu serious?! Also! Haibane Renmei brought me to tears at the ending when Reki was finally leaving. Sad sad animes yet very good!

Ohh yeah I saw that scene. I wouldn't be able to take the gore of the whole series, but that scene was pretty messed up. I've gotta agree with you there...

I can just remember two animes that really made me cry Elfenlied and Cowboy Bebop

i don't cry when watch anime...because i always watch comedy anime....i can list anime make me laugh..hehe...

but,for sure...i nearly cry when watch naruto shippuden anime...when jiraiya sensei die and there's also other but,i can't really remember...

Now its very rare for a Anime series to make me teary eyed, (as I have very high standards for Anime)... But there are some notable exceptions...

The most recent series would be 'Cross Game', (which is one of the best Anime series to come out last year...) which has a opening episode that is a real tear jerker... The series can be viewed at the VIZ Anime site...

And the series that occupies first place on my list of best written Anime series is 'Princess Nine' (which unfortunately is long out of print...) It has one powerful episode that is also a real tear jerker. Having been 5 years since I last watched this series, I re-watched it to see how it ranks against the most recent series I've seen, and just watching the opening was enough to bring tears to my eyes, remembering how good this series is...

I've only cried once while watching anime and that was in One Piece,
