The goal of the thread: to create a list (as complete as possible) of Youtube videos capturing anime opening sequences from the 1960s to the present to be used for reference purposes and hopefully give people an easy one-stop shopping spot for previews of shows they might like to check out.

The rules:
-you may only submit ONE video per post
-videos may NOT include anything more than opening themes (no full episodes, AMVs)
-you must look up and include the year of that series in your post
-multiple videos for a single series will not be accepted

Given the potential copyright issues inherent in posting these openings, several are likely to be broken at any given time. If you notice broken links ~ do us a favor and try to find a functional one, reposting it along with a note that the original is broken.

I bet some of the older folks here may still remember this anime show. I remember some anime fans considered this show one of the coolest anime shows ever to live Japan. The show is still popular in Europe, Central and South America. It did not do well here in United Sates due to some gay changes the licensing company did. In addition, I'll post the newest Saint Seiya opening theme song of the Hades Chapter later. Well, i hope you all have fun watching this 1986 animation.
