Thread: Which anime songs should I have in my collection?

This really should be in a journal, but I'll let it slide this time.

I'm partial to J-Rock myself, especially the work of Anna Tsuchiya and Olivia Lufkin, they both did the music for the Anime Nana.

I only wish I could get my hands on the rest of Olivia's work, but I only have the album from Nana, and her latest studio album Cloudy Dreamer. Her album "Comatose Bunny Butcher" really intrigues me.

Also, pick up the sound tracks for the anime K-On! Good music even if it is a bit childish at times, And will get you some weird looks if you're playing it in your car with the windows rolled down ^_^;

No right way to answer that question. But I guess I would say start with the critically best animes. The two with great soundtracks are revolutionary girl utena, and neon genesis evangelion.

absolutly and if you are in the right mood ghost in the shell and blood + are great!!

I agree with aceman on Olivia Lufkin and Anna Tsuchiya... I am in love with the Nana OSt. ^.^

I highly reccommend Blood+ as well. It's got some really pretty, mellow songs, but some really upbeat JRock style songs as well.

I also found that I really love all the openings/endings for Bleach.

UVERworld is a pretty awesome JRock band... They do an opening for both Blood+ and Bleach.

And no iPod is complete without everything by Yoko Kano. From Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain, and Ghost In The Shell: SAC and 2nd Gig. All her stuff is amazing to listen to. (I listen to it when I'm at work ^.^)

I have tons of anime music... Even if I hate the anime, dang it, I love the music. >.< lol

hmm, for me I download anime openings for a change, something to remind of the old days
& about the journal; it's for AO's Elite Members or higher
