    Re: Anime thin packs

Well recently I got Evangelion's thinpak and the Trigun thinpak which came in 2 sets in metal cases. While I already had the Trigun box set when I got the thinpak, I won't be recoppin the shows that I already own as a thinpak. Too expensive, even if I sell the old ones. I usually buy anime on DVD as it comes out volume by volume if I really have to have it.

    >_> ... I... didn't know it was new...

In fact, now that I think about it, it just suddenly appeared out of nowhere...

<_< Was it in the late 90's or just in the Thousand's???

    >_> I'm serious, it just randomly appeared.

    o_o I suppose they're great...
<_< But I do like special features... so... y'know...

90s? No way, thin packs are really new.

They only starting making them 2005 and 2006. I didn't seem them starting popping up at stores until late '05.

And they aren't just the episodes. The discs themselves aren't any different, just the packaging. Which is why thin packs are cool. They take up less space.

    Re: Anime thin packs

...I guess the only bad thing about thinpacks are that some came without the special creator's sketches/art on the back of each volume sleeve or extra goodies (like Rune Soldier Louie, each volume came with like a small part of a poster and the creator's original art on the back of the cover).

...and YES, I do realize that I'm dissing on my own thread but what I said above is true and it sucks for the real fans of the series...
