aloha guys i would like to ask if anyone knows any anime like lodoss war
i am interested in that western european age i have seen some anime but i cant find any other.
I have also seen berserker, claymore,star ocean X,ragnarok. tower of druaga, scrapped princess
if someone can suggest me any other anime i would be grateful
( i want mainly swords and less magicians and no ninjas or samurais)

How about Sengoku Basara and Tales of the Abyss? I cant find ones with both dragons and warriors.. also i dont think i can find any that is staged in the western european age so i think this is the best i can do... hmm sry >.<

The definitive series would still be 'Record of Lodoss War' which was based on a licensed D&D franchise novel series written in Japan. Unfortunately, the series is long Out of Print, but Media Blaster has announced a license rescue of this series earlier this year, so we may see it back in circulation soon...

There is also a sequel (sort of, it came out before 'Lodoss War' but was based on the Novel series that was the sequel to it) called 'Legend of Crystania' which tells of the fate of Ashram after he, and his people leave the dark island and the Lodoss War story... (Watch the Movie first, then the OVA series)

There is also a Fantasy Comedy series that shares the 'Lodoss Wars' universe (based on a novel series written by the same author of 'Lodoss Wars') called 'Rune Soldier', (original title: 'Louie the Rune Soldier'). The premise of this series is that an all female adventuring group, (composed of a Cleric, Fighter and Thief) discovers that they need to recruit a magic user to complete their adventuring party. But the the only candidate they could find is the bumbling, inexperienced, (and womanizing) mage in training name Louie...

Now for comedy fantasy series, 'Slayers' was the big franchise of the 1990s, and now reborn with a new series that came out last year

The only anime I can think of that has Knights and Dragons would be Saint Seiya aka Knights of the Zodiac. Well, it's not exactly "knights and dragons" but very close? I am not sure if you'll like it since its a very very old anime, but there was a recent release of Saint Seiya called Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas. All series are good, but I prefer The Lost Canvas arc series which seems a bit more interesting to me.
Um it's kinda like a middle age-ish type anime with sorcerers and dragons ect... It's called Slayers. =O
dont knoow if you would watch it but back in the 80's there was a zelda cartoon. Its not considered a anime but you may like. escaflona is a good one.
