You can always try Green Green its funny but its also about a true love story.It is also only a 3 disk set. You could also try Howl's Moving Castle its geared more toward the older crowd.It is also only a movie. Hopes that helps.

I've watched every anime listed, except for Green Green and Boys Be I think, and I have to agree that they're cool animes. I also have some suggestions - perhaps you've already watched the animes but I'd like to list them anyway. Some of them I really liked, and some of them not - but each has their own tastes, right? Anyway:

Sailor Moon
Wedding Peach
Inuyasha (it's more action, but there's a lot of funny moments and romantic ones too)
Gravitation (a boy/boy couple, but it's pretty funny and romantic with drama in it)
La Corda D'Oro (I don't know if this anime fits in, but it's pretty good and there's quite a few boys around that girl :P)
Mew Mew Tokyo
Ashita no Nadja (one of my favourite animes - it's cute, it's funny, it's romantic, it's serious - all in one)
Ai Yori Aoshi
Ask Dr. Rin
Kirarin Revolution
Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch

Actually, 'Green Green' is based on a hentai dating simulator game, and the last episode (soon to become available as a Region 1 release) was released as an OVA because IT'S HENTAI!!!

How about Iketeru Futari?

It's a romantic comedy with ecchi. It's also one of the funniest I've seen. A good way of cheering me up.

Story:Keisuke Saji, a very funny yet equally perverted, ever-fantasing high school student falls head over heels for Koizumi Akira, a feisty girl with a mysterious life and many rumors including that she hates boys. However, that doesn't stop Saji from trying to get his own way with her- with hilarious results.

Story:Saleryman Matsumaru Fumiko waits outside the local cinema alone, stood up by his date. A strange girl stops him from throwing away the tickets and goes to see the movie "Roman Holiday" with her instead.
Afterwards, she treats him to dinner, where she reveals that she is a seiyuu in-training.
After dinner, they return to their homes, which were coincidentally down the same neighboured.
However, tragedy stuck as a fire burned down the girl's apartment.
Luckily, she's still alive with hardly a scratch, but was upset by her loss.
Matsumaru allowed her to stay with him and while comforting her, learned that her name was Aka Onda and they both spend the night in the same bed.

Next morning, she was gone or so it seems.
She arrives at his work, auditioning for the voice of the company's sweet- themed mascot.
And so begins the “more than a friend, but not yet lovers” relationship between Matsumaru and Aka, while at the same time keeping their relationship a secret from their fellow co-workers.
