Thanks guys, you've helpedme with some ova ideas, I was looking for some good anime's not shown currently on Adult Swim or Anime Network VOD.

I would like to throw a couple out there if I may.

Gantz:definitely TVMA, but storyline is great and action is uniquely paced.
Prince of Tennis:toonami jetstream has it, but watch it from the beginning.
Gungrave:this is one that has to be watched in sequence and can't miss any episode. G4 wasn't good about that. G4 on demand however, was.
Paranoia Agent: just completely bizarre and totally awesome. Episode 8 is a must see episode.
    Hellsing: Alucard. nuff said.
Lupin the 3rd: good blend of comedy, suspense, and action
    Gilgamesh: dark and beautiful
Cromartie High School: Strange and funny, or is it strangely funny

That's my list, I'm assuming you've seen Vampire Hunter D and Akira, if not those are two others as well.

Well, as to what series are 'good,' I'll let you know a few of my favorites. These are the ones you can buy in english at any dvd store (like suncoast). There are many others that are only in japanese that are good too though. Here's a list of the ones that I have:

    My Anime Archive

    Anime titles that I own:

    1.) Full Metal Panic! *
2.) Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu *
3.) Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid
    4.) Love Hina *
    5.) Love Hina : Spring Movie *
    6.) Love Hina : Christmas Movie *
    7.) Love Hina Again *
    8.) Chobits
9.) Hanaukyo Maid Team La Verite
    10.) Tenjo Tenge
    11.) Maburaho
    12.) Girls Bravo *
    13.) Ah! My Goddess
    14.) Mahoromatic Automatic Maiden
15.) Mahoromatic Automatic Maiden: Something More Beautiful
16.) Mahoromatic Automatic Maiden : Summer Special
    17.) DearS *
    18.) My-Hime
    19.) Moon Phase
    20.) Please Teacher
    21.) Please Twins
22.) UFO Ultramaiden Princess Valkyrie: Season 2 *
    23.) Negima! *
    24.) Ultra Maniac
    25.) Inuyasha
26.) Inuyasha the Movie 2 : The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass
27.) Inuyasha the Movie 3 : Swords of an Honorable Ruler
    28.) Ninja Nonsense
    29.) Fruits Basket

The ones with * are some of my favorites. There are some others like Ikki Tousen, Pani Poni Dash, Fullmetal Alchemist, UFO Ultramaiden Princess Valkyrie Season 1, that i also happen to like and have found to be quite good. Hope that this proves to be useful to you. Enjoy!
