Cardcaptor sakura, english or subbed
When watching CCS would you rather watch an english show, or a subbed show. Personally I would rather watch the subbed shows. One example would be that in the english version, the relationship between sakura-chan and li-kun is not specifically defined. Whereas in the japanese, it is. I want to see what you all think, so give it your best shot!
Re: Cardcaptor sakura, english or subbed
Jesus, the dub was an atrocity. I first watched the dub on tv, and I found it beyond horrible. After a few episodes, I just couldn't take it and ended up watching the subs. I heard it was severely edited, not that I care since I watch it already.
Well ccs proved to be better than I expected. Thought it would be too girlish for me to watch.
Re: Cardcaptor sakura, english or subbed
Seriously, all anime that are dubbed have been altered from its original version and has lost its "appeal" to me.it is lacking in quality because it leaves out parts that is of great importance to its story thought the producers don't seem to realise this.
Re: Cardcaptor sakura, english or subbed
untill now I only watched Cardcaptor Sakura with subtitration, but I saw other anime dubbed and they sounded ... diferent and a little anoying ... the whole fantasy of the anime disaperared!
Re: Cardcaptor sakura, english or subbed
I have seen cardcaptor Sakura in Dutch, i have never seen the English version or the the subbed version.
The thing is when an anime is dubbed in English most of the time they become raelly bad, the English voice actors are bad and they leave importend tings out.
Re: Cardcaptor sakura, english or subbed
Well, to me I like it when they speak japanese. English's was okay but I didn't like it
Re: Cardcaptor sakura, english or subbed
Another subs vs. dubs?
Be sure to only talk about CCS here... :lurk:
Re: Cardcaptor sakura, english or subbed
For me... I prefer watching the subbed... because its more complete than the other english episodes....
