copying?

is it me or are anime just starting to copy each other for example ...
Code Geass looks like a combo of Neon Genisses, blood+, and Eureka Seven .
And Bakugan looks like Yugioh and Pokemon.
Prince of tennis and Air gear are also to me really simalar so is there something more to anime i should know?

Such things happen in many forms of media (dare I say life in general?).

It's kind of hard to make something original when almost every idea has been done. The best way to cope is to draw inspiration from other sources but make it original in its own way.

And when one giant robot anime has finished, there is a demand for more giant robots.

animes basically copy off each other. even if they try to be original, they'll have similar things

I see what you mean hun. However, I think "copying" is too strong of a word. Sure the genres and ideas are indeed simular but I think they use other animes to "inspire" producers for brilliant ideas. They do that a lot in not just anime, but videos games, tv and movies too. Though I have to admit, some of this stuff gets kinda stale after a while.

and me being the Revolutionary Girl Utena fan i feel things have been taken from it.
I mean i see it everywhere.
and does any one see small connections in vampire Knight?
Touga, Wakaba, Kiryu, Yuki, all shared names (and yes i factored in the 'well those are all japanese names' factor, but still even the school setting and characters seem similar. )
