Describe your favorite Anime Genre!

I like the CLAMP series, as they are often romantic and funny, but well thought and serious. (MKR, Tsubasa Chronicles, and CCS are the only CLAMP titles I've seen but I'm currently trying to get ahold of some other ones) I beleive that shoujo is the name of the catagory, but I'm not sure...

I also enjoy watching anime like .Hack//SIGN, which pulled me into the story and I ended up getting every clue to The World that I could get my hands on. The first time I watched it, I liked it, but now that I'm paying more attention, I realize that it has a darker draw, but when Tsukasa falls for Subaru, the light at the end of the tunnel seems that much brighter.

I don't enjoy (per se) watching anime like NGE or Elfen lied, but I do find the internal struggle of the characters interesting. Each of them have their demons, and at first they are trying to run away (in NGE) but as the series closes they have to confront the evil in their hearts...

So I guess my favorite genre of anime, is the anime where it has meaning, it's characters can come across realistically, you can feel empathy or sympathy for the character and their situations, friendship is a constant support between the main characters, and the story allows for a romance that spurrs one of the main characters to keep going (or in SIGN to endure pain to find a way back).

My favourite anime genre takes two different paths ,i like animes that contains romance especially the animes that shows high school love life yet i like an anime filled with a lot of action and had a good plot

I enjoy Action,futuristic anime that has a good storyline to it.Something like Blue Gender,bubble gum crises

I like tough cool anime people like Ed in FullMetal Alchemist hes funny cool and is true to his word.

My fav genre has to be Action but it must have a story to it not just fighting all the time.the reason its my fav is because I love the fight sense and how they fight:2thumbs:

Action and adventure like Naruto,Inuyasha and Bleach.Mecha like Gundam Wing and Full Metal Panic.

Comedy / Romance and Fantasy with Cute Girls , Its getting more interesting if they had Cute and Sexy Girl Characters in the Anime...I Feel like Watching them but i like any Genre as well

I really enjoy the sci fi animes, because of the many many angles it can be portrayed whether it be the close to reality or the far out and fantastic(but thats allready a discussion in a different thread). for the most part there is just a limitless amount of ideas pertaining to the way things will be in the future it makes this genre so deep, i cant help but love it.
