My favorite genres are comedy,horror,scifi,action.

I don't watch shoujo as much, coz I think it's just childish. Even so, I won't refuse a good shoujo if someone recommends one that should be taken seriously.

Shonen is generally classed as "boys comics" in a lot of ways. Its good if your looking for inspiration for poses, or fightscenes, or anything like that. It's my opinion that if your looking for more 'plottier' stuff, shoujo (many times classed as "girls comics") might be better. ^^ I wouldn't say shoujo is childish. Theres a lot of romance in shoujo I think. And many of the shoujo manga are very sparkly and glittery and lovely with frilly dresses and everything.

I'm not happy with yaoi-themed/yuri-themed shoujo manga, which far as I can find, is NOWHERE in shonen manga, far as my own experience goes. xp I dunno, I just dont like it when a plot centres around a type of sexual orientation. It's so "two years ago", in my opinion.

Mecha Anime hands down for me.

I'm just fascinated with the mecha designs that are presented, from the rather simple ones, to the more complex ones.

And yes, I also love both types of mecha anime. The Super Robots and the Real Robots.

But I also prefer some other genre of anime that is set on a somewhat modern or post-apocalyptic setting, as long as there's some action in it.

my favorite anime genre are love comedy, vampire thingies, bloody anime, and anime with cute or hot anime characters. I liked love comedy simply because its funny. Vampire thingies and bloody thingies can be togather but I love them because they're so interesting. I also liked Romantic anime series.

I like action and comedy. All I can say is Saiyuki will say it all. There is romance as well so see Project Arms.
