I enjoy shonen anime/manga that contaisn a lot of action and adventure. i love to feel exilerated (spelled wrong). This does not mean that i dont enjoy other types as well, including the ocasional (spelled wrong again) shojo.

For me, I like romance with either a hint of shounen/seinen/shoujo, comedy, and school life
I like this combination because it's sometimes realistic
Im also a romanticism type of guy, pointing my preferences mostly to romance manga

I like...anything hat is not gory (though I can take a little blood). I mean, I believe a good story will be good no matter if it's about fun pirates, lovely affairs, exquisite mysteries, sweatty sports, cat-and-mouse games or anything. Even Remi can be fun...at times...

I guess...I have a slight inclination towards the comedy-action genre (One Piece is my favorite), but I don't deem it a really strong inclination...since I also like Neon genesis evangelion.

I'm all for action, paranormal, and mecha.
Action because. . . . I'm a blood, guts, and gore kinda girl and that's what tickles my fancy predominantly.
Paranormal anime if done right usually combines my need to see people bleed with fantasy. In addition to that, there are a lot out there they make you think and try to figure out what the heck they can do next to keep the main character ahead of everyone else and survive. (Think Deathnote, Tokko, I'll even go so far as to say Cyborg 009, although that was more along the lines of action. . . .)
I like mecha anime because it's within the realm of possible future human achievements. Also because the imagination and ingenuity behind feasible plots for quality anime (in this category) is really outstanding and has a plot that I can really dig into and usually never gets boring.

what i like , mecha , romance , action , thrillers , comedy , some sports as well depending on what kinda sport it is , i like music as well ( nodame , nana , beck ... etc )

I tend to prefer animes that have a lot of humor in them, something like Fruits Basket or His and Her Circumstances. They have a little bit of drama to keep them from being too tiresome or forced, but there is still that funny aspect.

However, I do like some fantasy series, such as Sailor Moon (not heavy on the fantasy, but there is the magical transformations/monsters aspect).
