Thread: Describe your favorite Anime Genre!

I like watching anime that seem pretentious but they really just give a detailed story. Also, the comic relief that comes with anime like Bleach and Naruto isn't something I fancy, I like a good show with enough speech and intense action. Shows like CB, GITS, Big O are the ones that are really cool because they focus on story rather than using stupid filler episodes to elongate their series.

Hmm what type of anime do I like or genre, do i like? Well i am not sure, I guess based on my list of titles that i have seen & will add to my collections,

So I guess my genre would Action with a good long story mix with Some Scifi
and Horror Does that sound about right to the anime fans..? Because I really Can't tell what my anime Genre is.

Heh i tend to like a balance in mai anime~
a bit of everything stuffed in thar, i like alot of comedy though and fantasy, cuz face it whats anime if it isn't out of the ordinary?

I'm into action anime, MUST BE ACTION, if there's humor that's always good. I prefer it to be sci-fi or samurai or something like that. That's why I like Saiyuki, Armored Trooper VOTOMS, and Full Metal Panic/Fumoffu.

Me too. Comedy, adventure & action is watch I see in an anime. I love anime that makes me laugh. Haha

I am an interesting one.

I like the Genre dubbed : School Life.

Mixture:

School Life/ Action / Slice of Love/ Fantasy / Humor

Well I must say that my favorite genre goes along with war types with large machina or machine use. Example being Bubblegum Crisis or Appleseed for it's machine useage (smaller) and FMP and Gundam, Robotech and Macross for the larger. I loved Evangelion for the complexity of the Eva itself and how it is a machine and also fleshly and the concept behind putting a live human inside. Also I need something that grabs. I am a sucker for love stories so things such as Sailor Moon, Fushigi Yuugi and the like I also am drawn towards.
