Pokemon!! Pikachu would beat the crap out of Kabuterimon!!
Digimon!! Who needs a Moon Stone when you can Digi-evolve?
Eh... They're both pretty much the same to me.
You watch that kiddy crap???
id have to say digimon.pokemon was too repetative and the pokemon had to take orders or just sit there.digimon all had brains but that mon thing sucked
Although i hardly ever watch either
Pokemon by definite
POkemon has definitely dragged on there getting desperate
But i Love the storyline of you have to be ten And you can get your first Pokemon
great sig by Lasura thanks heaps
hmmm....I liked the digimon monsters better...but who didn't love the catchy phrases form pokemon "team rocket blasting off again!" and then you would see that little star in the distant and hear the little 'ting' lol....ahhh the good old days.
I'm just going to say Digimon, I've seen about 10 episodes of it, and have seen a jillion of Pokemon. Pokemon repeats itself more then anything I've ever seen on TV. It seriously seemed like I was watching the same episode over and over, Digimon was a little less like that, and more interesting to me. But I really don't watch either of them anymore to be honest.

with the splendor of my aspirations closed in
how many years have we waited
for a ship that never set sail?" lyrics by As I Lay Dying
I love Pokemon!!!! I don't watch it was much as I use to though.
Pokemon was far better marketed to my trend-slaved brain.
But I admit loving them both. Pokemon had a lot going on with the storyline, and jumped around quote a bit while getting nowhere. Digimon fell into the trap of "We just achieved this new level, but the new bad guy is one level higher! Must achieve Super Saiyajin 4-- I mean Ultimate level!"

I was a fan of Pokemon first, but once Digimon came out, I instantly fell in love. The story was so much better in Digimon and there was actually a point to the series. Pokemon relied too much on recycled storylines and the characters were as one-dimensional as the paper they were drawn on.
In Digimon, you at least got to see the character development and enjoy all of the different characters and personalities presented in the show as they struggled through the problems they faced.
I was 9 when the first season came out, so for a little kid, it was more gratifying to have a continuing story line to look forward to and "adventure" with rather than the repetitive "Hooray, we rescued the day!" thing Pokemon had going on.
(It's not much different from Sailor Moon and all of the other Magical Girl anime, but I have to admit, Sailor Moon was fun to watch in kindergarten.)
Seriously, in life, things aren't as easy as that, and there are always more problems and to solve and circumstances to encounter, and that's the one up Digimon had with their storyline. And they usually take longer to resolve than 30 minutes.
Even now, Pokemon has the upper hand in marketing and popularity, but Digimon wins overall with its quality.
(And ranting about how every monster had the -mon suffix is a bit superficial, ne? It's not as annoying as the moe "Pikachu" squeals that those poor voice actors are asked to voice.)
The only thing I hated about Digimon Adventure 02 was Yamato/Matt hooking up with Sora. Wth? xD
