    -Most definitely yes
-RPGs, mainly the Final Fantasy series
-No, but as soon as I can get some extra $$$ its in the top 3 things I'd buy
    -No...but I do hope to one day...after I win the lottery. (T^T)
    -Yes
-Used to til I moved to the US where they're lacking in Gundam, Eva, etc. models (yes, I do know that Bandai has released Gundam models in the US but where I live they're not available anywhere)

You shouldnt have to lie tsurara-san. The only reason a person would lie about these kind of things is cuz you dont feel comfortable with yourself in letting others knowing about it.

    -Yes

You really shouldnt lie to others and maybe even yourself as to what you are. I KNOW that I'm an otaku and I dont care. Thats me and thats my life. LOLs, the life of an otaku is quite entertaining at times.

I didn't lie. I answered honestly... on paper. But I answered the ones about having a boyfriend on paper too...

But flooded with questions about geeky or personal topics, I'd probably play down my own geekdom the same way I would say that me having a boyfriend is "a secret".

It's none of the rugrats' darn business... and it's something I know is generally looked down upon (and is something that I myself sometimes pass judgements based on).

My classrooms run based on how the kids relate to me. If I ally or associate myself with one group or interest-base, I've just lost the rest of them. That's why I pretend to give a crap about baseball... even though I don't: half the boys in any given class are on the baseball team.

Anime is pretty geeky here (my roommate can't stand the stuff).

I am more a nerd than a geek and proud of it. My group in high school was "The Nerd Herd," and it was an honour to be a part of it (everyone loved us). Yeah, I'm an otaku . . . I see no shame in admitting it.

Of course, I've been teased. They say it's all porn and look for the slightest picture that may be misconstrued . . . big deal.

I never tease someone like me; I would never be that hypocritical.

Some people are definitely more geeky than I am . . . and I do look down on some of them . . . but it's not to be more popular.

    Yes
well not too many but i like them
    yes
there's a lot of them that i think it is the best
    Heck no
    Nope
    Yes

"Yes" and "No" depends (they need to know the truth but it is not always the best solution especially we're talking here about 13 years old kids... and even there's times that the answer which depends can change)

answers are in order >>> it is considered super geeky(the bad side i mean) in my place and town and around it and in my whole country ... anime is considered decent and only children-watchable or even worse it is superbly unknown... i even try to hide it or avoid the subject as much as i can // i consider myself an anime geek i mean it became a part of how i'm living // i do // if someone mentioned or asked directly i have no intention of hiding and let them do the hell what they want

no because there's barely several people of this type that i know and are my friends (best friends - that why they know anime in the first place)

-Hell ya I like anime, its a mix of television and big budget films. Great art and story telling, and you don't have to worry about hearing that one of your favorite characters was arrested for something.
-American comic books, I like the majority of what Marvel puts out. I only like Superman and Batman from the DC side. Manga, I really like Get Backers for some action. I also am really into Welcome to the NHK, its funny because its true.
    - RPGs and Platformers, or anything that's held together by a decent story.
-No, the Wii is a curse on this world. >_<
-Nope never been there, don't care if I ever do either.
-Yeap, saw Eva and the movies. Its not in my top 10 though.
-Yes I build models, they are slightly difficult to come by here locally. I would like to be working on one right now, if I had one that I hadn't finished already though.

I can't say for sure if its considered geeky, in such a small town. Well I watch a little more anime a week than I do regular television, with real people. So that has to be otaku-ish, as well as geeky. If the question was brought up I wouldn't hesitate to answer it truthfully, a lie wouldn't change the fact that I enjoy the stuff.

-Nope, not to my face at least. And that's really saying something, I'm 23 and collect Yu-Gi-Oh cards.
-I have looked down on stamp, coin, and star wars collectors/nerd/geeks. But that's only because I think those hobbies are boring.
-Yes, although I don't know if you would call it geeky. But people who get anime tattoos, that's a little out there for me.

Have you ever been teased for your hobbies?

um... by people who know me, but i've never been bullied about it... ^_^ the cool kids didn't even bother making fun of me~

Have you ever joined in teasing or looking down on others for similar ones?

if you mean the really lame kids who hang out in the manga section of bookstores and talk really loudly/awkwardly try to interact in a "cool way", then yes. i've also teased my friends and my Darling, but that's fair game in our opinion

Are there some people that even you consider "geeks"?

the aforementioned book store kids are the top ones. i see some around campus, they crowded around the computer lab and watched illegally downloaded anime on their laptops for all to see... those types annoy me.

as for would i lie in front of people about my fandom... um, if they ask me anything about Naruto, i''d probably play dumb, but that's about it. i don't have much to hide cuz i haven't gone that far into the forest so to speak.

Re: Do You Look Down on "Otaku"?

I'd probably say yes to all of them/answer positively (although i don't build models and haven't been to Akihabara) O_o. If saying yes to all that stuff makes me a geek then so be it. I wouldn't lie about it.

I really don't consider myself an otaku in japan's sense of the word. From what I've seen...man...that's too much. I recently saw Densha Otoko (Train Man) drama...and if that's what an otaku is really like then hell no I'm not like that Lol. Are they really like that?

i'll answer these for fun. so..

    Yes...
i got none, don't read 'em, not bothered 2,
i know of it, like heard about it, but thats about it.
it used to be first shooter, but no longer interested.
    no
    n/a
same with the gundam, think i might of watched half the movie though on TV, not sure if it was it, but it was really freaky!
    no

anywho as for what i think about being 'geeks' and all. well to be honest i think we all have a bit of geek inside of us. if u didn't u would be technology illiterate, and in this day in age can't be a good thing, plus most decent movies these days are from comic books, or do they call them visual novels these days? most of the best entertainment out there has came from what most would call the geek world.

as for do i like down upon them, well to me geek=no life and so if ur not living then y bother. so yea i do look down on them in the most cruelest fashion i know, which ain't that cruel (gotta practice on that).

anywho as for would i say this stuff out loud. well really unless someone ask u about ur interests ur not goin to tell them. which is the natural thing to do for nearly most interests. only ppl who shout it out loud, and really loud are ppl that u tend to avoid, cause they are either geeks, sport freaks, etc. so i'm ashame of watching anime and all but nor do i shout it out loud. it just another interest that i have, just like cooking, playing dart, etc.

as for do i get harassed by it. well i guess its just something ppl can rip into me about, but hell i do the same lol XD. its just another interest as i said, and i've ripped into ppl that are into soccer, really into cars, planes, and drug like things (stupid pot heads). if u get offended by it, it makes things only worst i reckon, cause it means that ur ashame of urself. so yea that how i deal with it.
