I have trouble as well, but I find it esier if I sketch out the head as in no hair or facial features. Then I do the hair so I can estimate where everything else goes.

i noticed shizuka says and quote "Please do notice when your drawing DO NOT draw on a flat surface, that will make you have a tendency to make the drawing stretch and go out of proportion." thats true but not just that but it gives you a much better view of what you're doing i say kudos to you shizuka you're awesome XD

I try to start with a basic eggish type shape, then i draw my reference lines, shape the head, then start with the eyes. The eyes are tough... Hair for me isn't too bad, but i don't give my characters enough texture or definition. Just practice everyday!

    Talking Re: Drawing anime?

well usually people draw the anime characters head first, but i always start with the eyes. if one way doesnt work out, try the other way.

i draw very well now, but thats just me. xD
if you want to draw specific ways you can do what my friend ashley did. she looked up videos on how to draw anime on youtube. so that could always work as a back up plan if you decide you dont like learning on your own. good luck!

    Practice practice practice a lot.
I've been trying and (for the most part) failing since I was ten.
Yeah. Also, try a style you like. Don't go over the top, either. start simple.

    Re: Drawing anime?

The hardest part for me is always drawing a body and the appendages. Hands mainly trip me up, but then again, hands usually are the hardest thing to draw as an artist.
