Thread: Duel Master.

i actually sAW that show a long long time ago it was cool to me

I found the show to be funny and entertaining. the 3d rendering of the monsters i found to be a nice touch, but i could never figure out what game it was.

i always thought it was for MTG

*sigh* People easily confuse "ripoff" and "parody" too much. People that accuse Duel Masters of being a ripoff are complete morons. Every single one of them.

Anyway, funny fact. In the beginning of the series, in Japan only, they actually played Magic: The Gathering in the series itself before coming up with their own personal variation of a children's card game.

But yea, it is not a ripoff show, as the card game is the only one of its kind. sure there are similarities to yugioh, but all in all it is a funnier show, with better looking monsters, and i personally think it is just a better show overall.

I actually really was into the show. I was a member of the Duelmasters fan club and received gifts every month, had my own membership card. I even played the game and everything, but then none of my friends played it anymore, so I stopped as well. I still have my cards though.

i think this show is a ripoff from Yu-gi-oh..its actually a lof of shows out now that are trying to remake a show kinda like yugioh..but no they all suck./.i think DM is kinda..no IS chessy in so many ways..its not funny..its sad actually..why cant yugioh come back with new ep..and show theses other show how its done..lol

Have you not been paying attention? They can't make anymore episodes because the Pharaoh is gone, but they just finished Yu-Gi-Oh GX and have now moved on to the new revved up show called Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's.
