Was wondering if anyone else has gotten the chance to see it. I just finished it last night, freakin' awesome show. The thing is that it's partly drama (which I'm not particularly into) but this show had all the great elements of an award winning anime.
It's basically about a bunch of younger people living in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, Japan who all become intertwined in these pursuits about happiness, memories, answers, and so on and so forth. The main character is a boy named Ryuugamine Mikado who moves into Ikebukuro at the beginning of the series.
It has a cast of characters you'll become attached to pretty soon into the series, I personally liked this one character named Shizuo and another guy named Simon, a Black Russian who sells Russian sushi...
I guess you could also call it a suspenseful thriller. So, anyone else seen this show or heard of it?
I saw the first episode last night, actually! ^.^
It's way better than I thought it was going to be... I was a bit hesitant about watching, but I actually really like it!
The characters are very well fleshed out. They have history, quirks, mannerisms and other things that make them seem a lot more personal than just an anime character.
And it is a bit of a suspense as well as drama... It's very well done. :3
I've been hearing good things about it but haven't found a way to watch an episode yet.
UPDATE: Watched it. Loved it. Want to marry it.
