Thread: Ever watch an anime and not realize it was an anime?

mmmm well fortunately for me, i knew the difference between an anime and a cartoon at an early age since i was from singapore n anime was known there XD

I felt so smart wen i'm explaining the difference between a cartoon and an anime to my friends here in the UK

iive always had an i dea of what anime was, like sailor moon and dragonball z but when i watched pokemon i had no idea, until i got older and notice it

Yea, I never knew pokemon was considered anime until just recently either.

with me it was all the typical ones pokemon, dbz, digemon, samurai pizza cats, sailor moon. they were all awesome and I never realised they were anime. oh and card captors

Samurai Pizza Cats,sailor moon,gigantor,g-force,I didn't know till I saw them later when I grew up I watch these when I was younger.

lol yea when i used to watch tenchi muyo,dbz and sailor moon. and then after a while when i was 11 i realized it was anime...LOL

Many in the beginning when I was a kid. Speeder Racer, Transformers, Voltron, Tekkaman Blade and DBZ. Shortly after DBZ I found out why they were drawn different, which always buggd me until I knew.
