Favorite Giant Robot Anime

I'd like to know what everyone's favorite giant robot/mobile suit anime is and why. My favorite is Dancougar because the characters are complex, the robots are cool, and it has many plot twists that were really interesting such as three importanyt characters dying along the way.

I have seen an increase in these type of threads by new members, and this is bringing down the quality of discussion.
