FF7AC Ribbons

Dont know if anyone else noticed this but my freind did...
In the movie final fantasy advent children why are all the main characters wearing ribbons???

I'm not sure, but maybe its just the artist.

i think it was to pay tribute to those who had died..........or it could be because of those infected with geostigma?

they represent a dead friend. when a friend no longer exists people usually wear a ribbon on their arms. this has also happen to Eddie Guerrero. people like rey mysterio wears the ribbon with EG on it.

i thought that they wore the ribbons to protect them againest status effects just as it did in the game. Or it could be just a sign of friendship?
