Was the first Tsubasa Chronicle as bad as the second season?
I always heard that the Reservoir Chronicle was renowned for being *insert good something or other here*. I read the description on ANF and didn't really like the idea. So, I didn't like the premise for the first Chronicle, why would I like the second season,? And added to that, I haven't even seen the first season. But despite all of that, I'm still drawn to the series for some reason.
Get that? I hate the premise, I hate the character style (after seeing a few images), and I'm totally jumping into the middle of a plot that has already been set up and probably won't see and further reinforcement, yet, I'm drawn to it.
I figured out why, too. It's because of the name.
Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE
See? Isn't is a sweet name? Super sweet? I like the name. I like the way it looks. I like typing it. I like saying it.
So, for me, that's all it has going for it, but hey, I figure it I watch it and like it, then I can discuss it more on the forums, and will thus be able to see, say and type 'Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNICLE' more.
Anyway, then I watch episode 27, otherwise, episode 1 of the second season, and I'm hit with this corny cheesey crap.
Moving along. I want to know what the first Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNICLE has going for it. Not season two. Season one. What is so great about season one? Surely it's not packed with as much sappy s**t as the first episode of season two, right? PLEASE?
Re: Was the first Tsubasa Chronicle as bad as the second season?
i really got into the first season, but then it got licensed, so fansubbers stopped subbing the anime series. I haven't checked the second season yet, but i have read some reviews.
Re: Was the first Tsubasa Chronicle as bad as the second season?
Be a little more specific please, there, Ketaro...What did you like? Why on earth should I watch this, aside from because of the cool title.
Re: Was the first Tsubasa Chronicle as bad as the second season?
Season 1 was okay. I mean to me some of the parts were really boring. I didn't even finish the series, because it was boring. I stopped like around 21.
The art is okay to me. At first I was like "OMG!! Sakura is sooooooo thin!!!" But then I got used to it.
The action in TSR was pretty good. And it was a good idea to combine all the characters into one series.
Mokona is so cute! Sorry, that was really random.
Re: Was the first Tsubasa Chronicle as bad as the second season?
I really liked the 1st season but didn't get to see it all. When i've seen that one I can't wait to see the second
Re: Was the first Tsubasa Chronicle as bad as the second season?
Didn't like the series...I mean, come on, it has an RPG-like plot. Find the shattered pieces of the young hero's girlfriend's heart! :o! No intrigue there.
The animation and drawing style isn't very impressive. The characters aren't very unique or interesting either to be honest. The series is just too...overly-girly, I can't stand it.
Re: Was the first Tsubasa Chronicle as bad as the second season?
I really like Tsubasa Chronicle. I've watched the whole first season, and read the first 9 mangas. I think I like it since the story is so much like an RPG. I haven't seen any of the second season yet, but it seemed like to me the story started getting better in the last few episodes of the first season.

I personally love the books and series. Haven't seen the second season though. No dissing Tsubasa! >.<
