Getting Anime and Manga: Is it easy for you? - Page 4

I can get anime or manga only in internet, I didn't find any shop in my country(Czech republic), maybe sometimes(ones or twice a year) on special actions in Prague, but it is very expensive.

i alway have to buy my manga books from the city and i have to pay for a return ticket which cost like $5 then there the manga book which cost like $10 to $15 bucks. there $20 gone and there food if im hungry there another $10. there $30 gone

I actually went out and bought my mangas for a little while, but i got tired of waiting three months for the next one to come out. Not to mention the fact that the English translation is way behind. So now i just get them online. Its cheaper, faster, and more up to date.

for me getting anime is alot eaiser than manga but i can still get manga it takes me longer cause there is no place near where i live so i have to go out of my town to buy manga but i still buy alot of both

For me I just walk into any store that sell dvds. And all the bookstores in the area sell manga as well. Then there are tons of online stores for me to choose from. I guess it just depends on how fast I want to get my anime.
Only hard thing to get thats anime related are OST and figures.

I find alot of it on the net. It's really really easy to come by. I like to own my own, but that's not always financially possible, so I spend alot of time on the free sites like watchanimeonline.com and animefever. When I can afford to buy I check out half.com for my AnimeDVDs and Borders for my manga. I try not to buy a new manga series that only has one book becuz then it becomes hard to keep up with them. I did that with Last Hope and regretted it becuz it's been like a year and the 2nd book just came out over here. It's not like Inuyasha where can buy 10 vols and take your time reading. So I guess that is the only hard thing about it...lol

Getting anime is kinda hard for me because in my country there is no anime stores and the only way to get anime is to download anime series from internet

yeah it's pretty easy for me i can get naruto vol.s at walmart, and HUGE boxsets at the asian supermarket

i buy all my anime off the net since nowhere within 50miles of me sells it

well manga i dont own any...YET! but sometime in the next week im gunna go to a bookshop thats about 13miles away and get some

so i suppose its fairly easy for me to get both

As far as availability goes: I live in Japan... so it's pretty much impossible to find a book or video store that DOESN'T carry a gigantic selection of comics and videos. Unfortunately, the prohibitive pricing of DVDs (over $60 a pop new) and a tendency of things I want to read or watch to be out-of-print (anime has a strange habit of dissappearing entirely after one tv and dvd run), I no longer follow anime at all. No time, no money, and a bit of embarrassment all contribute... There isn't much anime on network tv that's aimed at adults, and a lot of the things I might be interested in watching air way after my bedtime (at 1 or 2 am).

Manga is cheaply available (about $4-8 a pop new and $1-4 used) and everything both in and out of print can usually be found within the nearby city with a bit of leg-work. I read about 5 volumes a week.
