Thread: Good animes with bad endings

Now lets see... Great Anime Series with horrible endings....

The top of my list would be the GAINAX Studio series Mahoromatic as the last episode had this horrible description of what the end of Mahoro did to the main character when he grew up to become a ...

Android Bounty Hunter. (But no doubt this was because it was based on the Manga series ending, which at last I've heard was more detailed, and covered the other main characters as well...)

A close second on this list (and still bad enough to make you want to throw the DVD case at the screen) would be the series called Martian Successor Nadesico which ended the series on an extreme cliff hanger, to be concluded in the 2nd season that was never made. The one sequel that did come out was the movie Martian Successor Nadesico: The Prince of Darkness which was written as a sequel to the two novels and video games that came out after the TV series (and of course, never published in the US market...) which resulted in a story that made little sense to the US viewers, and didn't address the cliff-hanger ending of the TV series...

Id have to say....Death Note was one of those animes

I would have to say Inuyasha, it had so much potential to end it with a bang but yet
when it ended it just seemed a little rushed in my opinion, considering the entire series
seemed like a filler, you would of thought the grand finale would be more epic.

Everyone has their different versions but I would probably do something with
every character so that I don't leave any loose strings unless I wanted to
make a sequel series or a movie, but I would probably officially make Inuyasha
and Kagome a couple and stop the love triangle, I would make Miroku and
Sango married and Miroku will stop being a womanizer and they would have
a couple kids, I would make Koga get married to the Chief's granddaughter,
the one that he promised to marry. I would put Kagura and Sesshomaru
together because I liked the part in the manga that had Kagura and
Sesshomaru together and I would put Jin to continue living with Sesshomaru
and I would still keep Jakken with them, I guess. I would make Shippo a
strong demon and not be such a weakling all the time and have to depend
on everyone else. And this is coming out way more happy ending than my
original ending that I thought ofbut I just quickly put this together, so if it
sucks, sorry.

If i had 2 choose what Anime had the worst endings.. I would choose Inuyasha. The show is good.. but, the endings suck!

Actually the series itself has ended through the manga. The creators Anime decided that they would stop production on that particular arc because it didn't seem like the story was going anywhere in the manga, but boy were they wrong. I know how it ended, if anyone wants to know, just PM me.
