It really is about a 50/50 situation because if you have happy endings all the time its just kinda boring but if you look at when you have sad endings you have a better chance for a sequel to the first one

in anime it ends in happy mood at the same time there would be some sad bits but at the end sadness turns ito happiness

It matters if i like the anime i like the ending to be happy but if its a show i hate i like the ending to be bad.

it happy end are the best but some time you git the sad end long as the hole anime or movie is good i real like any end it have but i didn't like the end on Death note anime but it leave room for a than person to replace him but he what be as good as LIGHT went he was KIRA

Will it told you in the very start of the story he was going to get his name written in the Death Note so it wasnt to suprising really but same as you i was sad he died and yet happy in the same way.

It really depends on what it is I'm reading.
Comedies - Happy
tradgedies - sad, obviously
Action - mostly happy (for the good guys)
Drama - sad
Romance - I'm a sucker for unwholesome, trajic romances. Happy ones are alright, too.
Violence (Not to be mistaken for action) - sad

I like happy endings most of the time every once in a while I like sad ending

I feel the some way if the series is good an the ending bad I feel uneasy

I prefer happy endings, but a "bad" one (like Cowboy Bebop) maybe be much more interesting.
