Thread: How many people created their own character?

Must...hold...back...brain...

I think you'll find a good few creative people here. I know I'm one, that's for damn sure! Almost every time I watch a few episodes of a Anime or even movie or really good series, I create a character to fit in. A very active imagination + long train trips = danger. I'll save the details till their asked for, but I will mention a couple here. Now where to start...

For Naruto, there's Hiroshi Kamikaze, Last of the Devine Wind clan & full bearer of the clans dark secret, which killed essentially all but him in a day & night of bloodshed. He has been forced to run ever since his true bloodline was realized at the age of 10, but has stayed & trained in the Hidden Leaf village for the last year because of a girl, who hides her own secret which could kill him.

Then in Full Metal Alchemist, theres a young man who remembers nothing of his past, Courage the only name he knows himself as, black symetrical "scars" covering his body. Found drifting mindlessly by Professor Huskerson (Fullmetal Alchemist; Conquer of Shamballa. Spelling?), he starts working for him, placing his hands on the mine walls, scanning them using red light, then digging directly towards the uranium, avoiding all dangers in between. When the professor gets sent through the gate & the place explodes, he & several other workers use a boat to escape, picking up Edward & Alphonse as they pass. Pissing Ed off with the comment "Damn, I thought it was just the angle I was looking from that made you short." Courage blocks all his attacks with a level of ease that even surprises him. Eventually they get to introducing themselves, though Ed announcing himself as the Fullmetal Alchemist has an unforeseen reaction. Courage all of a sudden goes into a trance like state & attacks Ed, only a fist to the face from Al returning his senses. After going to Winry's for repairs to Ed's arm, they discover an ability of Courage's to return items to the previous state he scanned it as, after Ed's arm gets half melted when dropped in molten metal but pulled out quickly. Holding it in his hand, burnt retrieving it only to heal before their eyes, he wishes he could undo the damage only for it to glow red then change back into how it was when he scanned it before the damage. The Elrick brothers take him to Central, when he is placed in the hands of specialists who work at discovering why he is this way. What they dig up could start another war with yet another outside country, one with a devastating new weapon in the works...

I have many more in my head, for Animes like Neon Genesis Evangelion, One Piece, Burst Angel, along with a whole heap more. I've even thought up my own Gundam universe, with ideas from what I've picked up from all of them.

It's a dangerous place, the inside of my head...

i created a lotta characters for my own series.check out the fanart i posted. katsoyori is 21.he is a male.that is all i want to post about him.

I won't go in to details (such as name, background and all that) because that's confidential information until I'm ready to start sharing that type of info with unknowns, but I can tell you that since I could hold a pencil, I've been drawing. In my 27 years I've created over 25 characters and have written stories for about 19 of them.

Ah, screw it. When I get to my mom's to use her scanner, I'll post one up here for ya (at least one I haven't worked on in years). It's only fair that way. ^_^ Actually, there's two in my photo gallery here on AO if ya wanna check them out. I can't give you too much info on them, except one is made to look like me.

Looks like I started a trend though. I decided not to give up all the details, then everyone else followed suit. I held back info cause I didn't want to take up half the page with my ranting, which I could easily do about this kinda topic. Starting to look like I've started a trend of everyone just mentioning the basics & stubbornly holding on to the rest.

Still, we all have the power to choose how much we mention. I could very easily mention more about my characters I've mentioned or heaps more, one recently created from watching a few episodes of Trigun, but I'll hold back so I don't take up the whole page. As before, if anyone wants to know more about them, just ask, though I doubt anyone will.

So, is there any other creative people out there...?

I've created a few of my own charecters for fanfics and doujinshi. I do have an all time favorite though.

Name: Shriume Kasaki (Ume for short) I was reading Air Gear when the idea for her came to me

Gender: Female

Background: Ume is the seventh daughter of an impoverished family. She sets out to do as many odd jobs as possible to support her family ( and more often) to feed herself. She travels the conutryside doing whatever she can get decent money for. That should tell you just about enough about her. It became more interesting when I gave her a love life.

Naw, I wasn't gonna share details whether or not you were gonna omit them. I don't share confidential info. If anyone DOES want to see a sample of my work, I'll glady conversate with you via PM. I look at sharin' stuff like this the same way I look at sharing DS friend codes or IP addresses or even Social Security numbers. Sorry, but when I'm ready, then the whole world can see. But for now, PM me if you're interested in what I have.

Fair enough. It's your characters, you've created them. I'll leave you to them. Heck, with my active imagination, I'd probably think up scenarios & stories for them & my characters together. Something along the lines of - OK, Hiroshi does this, while Suchnsuch goes around here. It's usually much more elaborate than that, but that's where it starts, & it's hard to stop, that's for damn sure...
