    Favorite animes:
Shoujo Kakumei Utena(Revolutionary Girl Utena)- 39 episodes, with filler.
Outlaw Star- 20 something episodes. With filler.
    Short and sweet.

Long ass series, but I still enjoy them: DBZ, some of the Gundam series, etc. : priceless.

Anyway, I think it depends on what kind of story it depends on, and what they're aiming for. Some animes want to stay on the air for a while, and some are just short and had their purpose. If a series is long it doesn't mean its bad and if a series is short it doesn't mean its good.

Me? I agree with it. I guess I want a catchy beginning, a visible ending, and a good everything-in-between. For some people (including myself), when something's taking too long, you tend to get bored with them. I like short anime for this reason.

And if you feel bad about a too short anime, relax, because they will have sequels. Or stuff that'll satisfy the fans.

Personally I think they could have ended Bleach at episode 63. They just would have to have done the ending a bit different. But I know where the guys coming from. I tried to watch Naruto and it took 16 eps for me to even tolerate it. I stopped at ep 150 out of bordem... I just got tired of hearing "His powers are so unbelievable!" And then you hear it two eps later with no real improvement on the character at all...

I agree to some extent. My attention span is often limited and a short anime is more effective at holding me. However, I am in fact a Naruto fan. It has always held my attention even through the dry spots. In the case of Naruto the length has done more to hold my attention than lose it. I have become attached to it beyond belief. However, a lot of the time I just need a good short series. Murder Princess for example.

    Not really.
I think that a large portion of the dislike for either anime (which there is) stems from the fact that they are seemingly ridiculously long and either have too many filler episodes or it takes forever to accomplish a single goal that could have easily fit into 1-3 less episodes.
And from what I understand based on conversations with people that live and breathe to watch either, the amount of action packed into either is reason enough to watch regardless of whether or not each mini plot is overly drawn out.

To sum it up: awesome they are not.
