The melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya was funny, and not to preverted, though she was a pervert. Boys Be.. was also funny. Genshiken as well was almost laugh out loud.

Whatever you do, do NOT watch Excel Saga dubbed. The actress who played Excel blew out her vocal chords from all the screeching that she does. It is down right painful to listen to.

Naruto, that's one Hell of a joke if you ask me. But in all seriousness, The Boondocks is a funny anime. The funniest character is probably Uncle Ruckus, he's a black guy that hates black people. It's one crazy show but definitely something you would want to see if you want a good ol' laugh.

Couple more that I cannot believe I forgot about.

Azumanga Diaoh. The ultimate in pointless funny anime. It is about the daily lives of a group of high school girls. Might not sound like much, but it is seriously funny. Very light hearted as well so fun for all ages. Think Lucky Star with less pop culture references and in jokes.

Minami-ke. Very similar to Azumanga I think, but follows the three girls of the Minami family and the strange people in their lives. Also extremely funny, but I think the first season is by far the best.

Both of these are the kind of shows that no matter what kind of mood I am in, I can sit down and watch am episode or two and feel loads better.

Moon Phase had several parts that were very funny. In fact you it should not be taken seriously. Vampire genre, and not too good. Though overall not a good anime it is great for a few laughs. You should be able to buy it in boxset now.

Vampire falls in love with human, lives with human tries not to drink blood, and add onto that a preverted uncle (an anime must).
