The remake has the same story line, but the character desing is updated which looks kinda kool.
well, as most fans already know, kanon is being remade. although being done by a different studio, the story is staying relatively unchanged.
only the first two episodes have been aired, but already the changes have been subtle but noticable, and well deserved. call me bored, but right after watching the first ep i rumaged through my old anime collection to watch the first ep of the original kanon, just to compare
kanon was a classic, but the graphics and dialogue did seem a bit dated even for its time. so when i first heard about the remake i was more than thrilled.
so for all you kanon fans out there, is there any part of original anime that you disliked... that you would like to see improved/changed/modified? or feel is going to be changed anyway? (we'll see how right you are as the series comes out =p)
has anyone seen the remake yet? wot do you think of the changes so far?

I remember the big eyes took a few episodes to get use to. Those were some of the biggest eyes I've seen. The remake made the eyes a bit smaller especially for the male characters, which I find a lot more appealing. Of course since this is Kyoto Animation, the animation is a lot better too than the original done by Toei.
Its great to see Kanon again, with 24 episodes for the remake they could do a lot more with the story than just 13. I still remember the ending vividly, it was a jaw dropper for me, never would of expected that.
yes... i was surprised to find that the remake will contain 24 episodes... 11 episodes is alot to add considering the story is to remain the same. heres hoping they're not all random filler eps ... .__.
hmmm the ending was surprising, but it wasnt executed well imo. too many "wtf!?!" reactions as opposed to "ooooh!" =/ buh thats jes me.

Yea, but there were a lot hints that she wasn't normal. Something just doesn't seem right. I remember while watching it and trying to figure what was going on/who is she. But her being ____ was really wtf.Originally Posted by henzor
