Wait, you're looking for anime that have foxes in them?
Hi I'm looking for an anime with a kitsune in it. I have seen a few with them in it like naruto and inuyasha and yu yu hakisho, but i recently ran across this one pic on the web and can't seem to get a response to it. its of two animal one a kitsune and the other a panther ecah haveing a young kid holding onto the chain. At first i thought it was naruto but when i saw it in a bigger oic i realized it wasn't. Has anyone seen this before or know of one? I'm sorry but this seemed the right place to put this thread, if not in very sorry.

Well yes but also kitsune or fox demons. Like what I mentioned above. I have the layout on my myspace maybe that will help?
Studio Ghibli's Pom Poko features them.
Grumble Grumble Grumble
Though 'Kitsune' aren't necessarily demons. In Japanese/Shinto mythology, they play a classic 'trickster' spirit, that very much analogous to the coyote spirit of the American Indian tribes of the far west.
Kitsune - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Just about any Anime series that have a reference to magical foxes are actually a reference to a Kitsune
Lets see now...
Kanon (2006) has one, but not necessarily a nine-tails type..
Pokemon has their Vulpix and Ninetales creatures
Like a lot of Japanese that anime fans have learned and taught to others professing to be fluent... they've gotten it a bit wrong.
"kitsune" is a fox... just a fox. In Japan, foxes are magical/troublesome in the same way Hopi and navajo myths think coyotes are. But illustrating the difference doesn't require a language shift.
Just like "yaoi" is anonymous pornographic doujinshi featuring no story only gay sex; "shonen ai" is actually a brand of pedophilia; "otaku" is an insult; "lolita" isn't the same as a gothic lolita; and "Jrock" doesn't even exist
These words aren't Japanese... they're loan words that have been corrupted in the transfer.
Sort of like how Japanese teenagers create buzzwords from English they don't really know is correct or not:
ex. "donmai" = "don't worry about it" (from "don't mind"... something I don't think I've ever heard any fluent English-speaker say)
But uh... yeah, there are anthropomorphic foxes in:
-Wagaka no Oinari-sama
-Inukami
-Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito
-Magical Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha
Dark Kit (Mar 27, 2008)
Ah thank you very much i will start looking for those anime. And yes LenMiyata I know Kitsunes are not techniclly Demons but I also know people referense them as such I know I did at first. Maybe one of those anime is the one I've seen pics of. Thanks again!
