Mai-HiME and Mai-Otome topic!

This is a topic just so the viewers and fans can chat about the two shows.

What did you like? What did you dislike? What did this part of the show mean. What did she mean when see said this?

You know, discuss things like that.

Also, you should answer this question here:

I've never actually seen Mai-HiME. I intend to, but I've yet to, so answer me this. What is the name of the girl with the short, spikey, black hair, the pony tails, and the big black claymore?

Like I said, I haven't actually seen the series yet, but I'm almost one hundred percent sure that she will be my favorite character.

P.S. I HAVE seen Mai-Otome. Just not Mai-HiME.

im not done watching mai-hime yet. so far what i hate about the show is the girl with the short hair. she looks too much of a guy. its disturbing.

soo you watched 2nd season first but not the first season first? wow lol

I think she's so cute with her sword that's, like, twice the size of her.

lol i dont remember. i stopped watching mai-hime for awhile. ill probably start watching it again if i get the time..

Anyway. She's really cute. Mai is too plain looking. And the other one looks too much like Nina from Mai-Otome, which is weirding me out.

Yeah. She is so with the cuteness. Just like Etna in my siggy!

To quote the ANN's review of the first My-HiME DVD.
"one of the funniest sequences involves one girl trying to get back to her room in her short school skirt without revealing that her panties have been stolen. Rarely before has a stray breeze been a character’s biggest enemy!"

oh yeah i remember that. it was in the first few episodes or so. it was pretty cool.

I don't think Mai-Otome is the 2nd season of Mai-Hime. They have different stories and the characters' roles are different. I think they just used the same animations and added similarities.

I have seen and liked both of them.
I really liked Arika in Mai-Otome, she was always cheerful and optimist and it made me enjoy her as a main character.

Arika is definitely the best character in Mai-Otome. Well, aside from Nina when she's poked in the side. Oh, on Shiho and her spiral hair. She'sawesome.

And I thought Mai-Otome and My-HiME were connected somehow, other than the character similarities.

SPOILER for anyone who hasn't seen the end of Mai-Otome.

I can't believe Nina killed Ers. That made me really sad. The scene could have been more tragic, though, if Ers had confessed her feelings for Nina.

I can't believe Aoi killed herself, either.

Cool characters dying is NOT cool.
